INTENTIONS:
Happiness is not an object to be pursued, like chasing a butterfly with a net. Happiness is a state of being. Unless an idiot, we cannot, and more aptly, choose not, to be happy all the time. If we are happy all the time, how can we empathize with the unfortunate? As humans, we have the capacity to experience a myriad of emotional states, i.e., sadness, joy, dispair, elation, loneliness, compassion, etc. To define a human being from this perspective, the more human we are, the more states of being we experience. Throughout a lifetime, we get to experience countless states of being with the ultimate intention of seeking balance. Like the weather, a balanced individual will experience countless states of being throughout the day, let alone in a lifetime. But no one can deny that a laugh or a smile at least once a day is beneficial to our well being. With regards to happiness, it is a state of being we wish to experience at least once, if not several times a day, even if only for a few moments at a time.
Happiness is readily achievable with the practice of my yoga, "happy yoga!" Happiness is not joy, or elation, or ecstasy. It is merely clearing the mind of clutter in the form of emotional hardware or mental anxiety. For a few moments a day, rid the mind of burden in the form of thoughts. Nothing on your mind give you the space to be happy. My yoga will do that for you.
